Thankfully, we've found a few nutritious recipes online that only take minutes to mix up and require 4 ingredients or less. Oh, and the best part of making treats at home? You get to cook with your valentine- who's also an expert at cleaning dishes.

Peanut Butter and Yogurt Pupsicles

Whip up these two-ingredient treats for your "butter" half. All you need is dog-approved peanut butter, organic plain yogurt, and a heart-shaped ice tray or silicone mold. Guaranteed to make your friends Peanut Butter and Jealous of your pup. 

The process for making these bomb Frozen Peanut Butter and Yogurt Heart Shaped Pupsicles: 

  • Spoon a small amount of peanut butter into the base of the ice or silicone tray. (Bonus tip: melt the peanut butter to make it easier to scoop into the tray). 
  • Add dollops of organic yogurt on top of the peanut butter. Flatten the yogurt down into the molds to level out the treat shapes. 
  • Place tray into freezer for at least 4 hours to freeze treats. 
  • Once frozen, pop the treatos out of the tray and give one (..or four) to your super stoked pupperino!

    Peanut Butter and Pumpkin "Candy Hearts"  

    Nothing says "I labr-adore you" like freshly baked cookies with sweetheart messages. Your dog will be the happiest nugget when they find out these homemade cookies are just for them! Here's how to make Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats for Valentine's Day.

    You'll need the following ingredients: 3 tablespoons of dog-safe peanut butter, 1 cup of pure pumpkin puree, 3 cups of whole wheat flour (or substitute with a grain-free option) and 2 eggs. You'll also need some handy kitchen equipment: mixing bowl, whisk, heart shaped cookie cutter, a roller, baking sheet and probably an oven.

    How to make Peanut butter and Pumpkin "Candy Heart" Dog Treats:

    • Preheat oven to 350 F.
    • Thoroughly whisk together eggs, pumpkin and peanut butter in a mixing bowl.
    • Add mixture to flour in a separate bowl and knead into dough.
    • Roll out dough with a roller until it’s approximately 1/2 inch thick.
    • Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter for special Valentine's Day themed treats to cut out shapes from the dough. You can also stamp your treats with cute messages.*
    • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Allow cookies to cool for 15 minutes.

    Strawberry Frosty Hearts

    Melt some hearts with these adorable Valentine's Day pupsicles. Only two ingredients are needed to make this tasty dog treat: coconut oil and chopped strawberries. Strawberries are a nutritious, low-calorie fruit for your pup and it is high in fiber,  loaded with antioxidants and vitamin C. Coconut Oil is also a healthy and delicious ingredient for dogs.

    How to whip up heart-shaped Frozen Strawberry Coconut Pupsicles: 

    • Chop up strawberries into small pieces and drop a few into each mold of a silicone mold or ice cube tray.
    • Melt coconut oil in microwave with microwave-safe liquid measuring cup. 
    • Pour coconut oil over strawberries to fill each mold in tray.
    • Place in freezer for at least 2 hours to thoroughly freeze treats.
